Drinking.....sip Sip Sip.....or Maybe Not

I'm 3 months out and this weekend while thirsting to death from all the yard work I was doing out in the heat I noticed that I do not HAVE TO sip sip sip anymore. I was basically drinking Water like I would have before surgery....big swallows AMD not so slowly. Is this a problem???! It made me a little nervous because I was under the impression I would be "sipping" forever.

I am almost 6 months post op and at about 4-5 months I was able to drink normal. Sometimes I do take a extra large swollow and when it goes down I am like "wow that hurt" then I take smaller gulps.

My doctor told me to do what was comfortable. He said pain is our internal control and if you can take big gulps without it hurting, go for it. I'm only 14 days post op, but I was surprised the first time I was able to take a normal drink instead of a sip.
