In need of some success stories

WHen you say that you eat what you like but with limitations, please elabotate. I would also like to eat some of the foods I like but in moderation. For example, today I had a half bowl of oatmeal and for lunch I had a half patty melt. The meals were very pleasing to me, but I would like to learn of other ways to eat what I like in moderation. I am a new banner (banded June 2, 2009), I am still kind of sore on the left side where the band is located. I have not yet began to exercise, but I am working more. Still afraid to over-exert myself, as I am still very sore.

Any ideas of what I can do now for exercising and eating healthier?
