High Iron

Hey guys so I just got a call from my doc saying my Iron level is higher then usual, I'm going to do blood work now. I have no idea why my iron level would be high. But I am suppose to have surgery in 7 days I was wondering if anybody else has had this issue?

I've never had this issue but I was wondering, do you take supplements? You really have to be careful with Iron supplements. Too much can be dangerous.

I haven't had high Iron but, my B12 is high. They made me stop taking it daily. My surgeon recommends 1000 mg per day but, now I'm on 500 at least until my next bloodwork visit.

Are you taking a supplement/vitamin that has Iron? I'm assuming no if your doc is ordering bloodwork.
