My boyfriend and I broke up a week after the surgery. Sure there was more to it, but I got the push to finally get out. New start to life!

As a soon to be therapist I swore even though I new the statistics of divorce/breakup after wls... It would NOT be me because communication is my "thing" lol oh was I wrong. As my confidence goes up my husbands comments goes up too. I take time and effort in my appearance and it bothers him. Ugh its so irritating!

You might try to include her. Maybe she feels left out, like your starting a new life that doesn't include her. Just a thought. It's really hard after WLS. My husband was getting jealous of me too. We talked through it. Its hard. He told me the other day "you can't keep your Ferrari in the garage". I took it as a compliment. Lol

My marriage was going down hill also due to mental abuse. Idk what in the world happen that he haven't been mentally abusing me in about 1 month or more. Treating the kids good not calling them names. Here comes the shocker!!! Helping me clean the basement. He gets a reward I give him extra sex. He have changed a lot. Hope it continues. Now back to you... Sounds like you are helping & inviting her to chill with you so nothing else you can do at this point. Jealousy is natural/normal. I have to assure my hubby my body is yours. I'm not going anywhere. I'm the same person inside with less fat outside.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
