kisersassy 369 Posted September 12, 2012 Your welcome. Just remember each surgeon is different and insurance may require more
BBdoodle 483 Posted September 12, 2012 Each doctor is different in what the require and your age will be a factor as well. The older you are the more tests they want done. I had to get a colonoscopy as well as a endoscopy, sleep apnea, and psych. eval. My doctor also made sure that I had my yearly gyno. check up and mamo as well. They really want to make sure you are in perfect health before surgery so there are no complications. 1 berniec reacted to this

seiko 9 Posted September 12, 2012 Hey I'm 24 and pre op. I'm pretty much healthy except for my weight and I have to have psych evaluation, cardiology eval (due to my size, but never had heart problems, they did an ekg and echo), see a dietician, and go to a class. They do the edg a few day before surgery. Did they give you a time frame for surgery?
tp100 25 Posted September 12, 2012 I have had to have psych clearance, cardiologist clearance, EKG, chest X-ray, upper GI, bloodwork, urine sample, primary care dr clearance, dietician class, support group meeting and a Dr. Talk to explain the procedure. 1 berniec reacted to this

I am tired of waiting but so glad i am at a facility where they want you as safe / healthy as possible before i go in a week and a half. Keep on keeping on...i know it will all pay off. All of that being said i do feel sorry for myself. Thank God for all of you on this website!
