I am so angry and confused. I Put myself through this hell and I have lost about 92 pounds since November with the sleeve but due to serious complications basically able to eat or drink anything in starvation to loosing nothing. Help! Suggestions. Just now really getting energy back to maybe exercise. Went to work four days after surgery. Suggestions? I called doc he said maybe body is adjusting or maybe ur at the weight u will be at. Well heck if I haven't had wanted to lose more weight I wouldn't have had the bypass. Hi...I am in the same boat!

I was a sleeve to rny patient as well. I had my rny done august 20th and I lost 18lbs the first 2 weeks then I stopped loosing for a few days and then gained 2lbs! I have since lost the 2lbs that I gained but so far thats it! I really try to get the Water and Protein in. I can't excersise because of a pain that I have in my left side (which Im getting checked out next week) but I walk 30mins to and hour every other day and I feel that I should still be losing something! At this point post op most people lose weight doing nothing at all!

Im very frustrated!

I hope we can both get past what ever this is and start losing weight!

I was at a stand still a few weeks ago, I was doing moderate walking almost every day. My weight stood still for like 3 wks. once I got off the high blood pressure meds I had so much more energy and I started increasing the exercise AND the intensity of my workouts, I started jogging again and now my weight started dropping again. Sounds like you are in a rut, when you exercise do you get your heart rate pumping ?

92 pounds is a LOT of weight so sincere congratulations on that!! Hard to offer much in the way of suggestions without knowing things like your pre-sleeve starting weight, height, daily average calorie intake, Protein intake, Water intake, activity level, and even what your personal goal weight is. Quite possible that you just need a little more patience. But if you can give us some more details, we may be able to offer suggestions. There are a ton of very knowledgeable folks on this forum and we're all here to help each other.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
