purpleamy 7 Posted September 11, 2012 Wow! I've been stuck at a certain weight for a month and a half. No inches lost either. Despite diet and exercise the scale hasn't gone down. Very depressed. :-(
luvlife 43 Posted September 11, 2012 Keep your head up! Maybe try changing your diet? Add more or less or change the intensity of your workouts? I don't know how far out u are or how much u have left to lose, but keep at it and don't give up! You will be losing weight in no time again. Think of how far you have come.... 1 purpleamy reacted to this
BBdoodle 483 Posted September 11, 2012 I just got out of my rut, it was like 4 weeks and no weight loss what so ever = very deperessing !! I started jogging and increased the intensity of my workouts and that got me out of the rut. In the past two weeks I lost 4 lbs. Hang in there and definately change up something that you are doing. I also train with a heart rate monitor which I totally rely on to get my heart pumping in the fat burning zone. It makes you workouts worth while. 1 purpleamy reacted to this
kristy3k 1,133 Posted September 11, 2012 bbdoodle, I have been thinking about getting some sort of heart rate monitor.... what do you use. I use my Iphone to track when I walk and am starting to jog a little so was wondering if there was something I could hook up to it or really just not sure what I want to get. DLCoggin 1,788 Posted September 11, 2012 Increasing your exercise may help but there are other factors to consider when it comes to stalls. How many calories are you averaging daily? Too low may be interpreted by your body as a famine state. Your metabolism slows and your body takes steps to conserve stored fuel (aka excess weight). How much Protein are you eating on a daily basis? Increasing your protein to 100g a day for a few days may jump start your metabolism and cause your body to start burning that stored fuel. Are you getting enough Water? Drinking more water can often increase weight loss and the rate of weight loss. Are you eating four to five times a day - never less than two hours apart or more than four hours apart? A regular eating schedule will often increase your metabolism because your body "knows" when to expect additional energy sources. Stalls are incredibly frustrating but if you stay focused on following protocol, stay active, and stay away from the scales for at least a week and more if you can stand it - they absolutely will pass!! innerelease 32 Posted September 11, 2012 Depends on how far out u are... It may just be a long irritating stall.... Don't get discouraged
