irshangel 13 Posted September 9, 2012 Hi, Just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing dry skin following surgery ? it seems like no matter how much lotion I put on, my skin still feels dry and I can see the white dry flakes. Does this have anything to do with little or no fat in our diet ?

my3stars 88 Posted September 9, 2012 I was told that it is partially due to being slightly dehydrated. surgery date: 7/30/12 I do not know about that only because I am getting 64 to 72 ounces of Fluid a day, unless that is not enough for me?
irshangel 13 Posted September 9, 2012 I was told that it is partially due to being slightly dehydrated. surgery date: 7/30/12 I really don't think I get enough Water in a day, I try, I do much better with chewing on ice. Water just does not want to go down. So that would be interesting if my dry skin is due to that.

LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted September 10, 2012 I think it's a combination of hydration, being in the hospital and a very low fat diet. Mine seems to be getting better now that I can have a variety of foods in my diet.
