Getting Nicotine Out Of Your System

Recommended Posts

Blew it and smoked. What can I do to flush the cotinine out of my system. I've heard lots of water' date=' oj and Vitamin c. Any suggestions? Back on the e cig (no nicotine type).[/quote']

Try large amounts of niacin. It makes you really flushed and a little sick but it works. Take a few at a time several times a day. I used drugs in the early nineties (clean since 1991) and used niacin several times to pass drug test. It should work. You can find them in Vitamin section at wal-mart. Get highest dosage.

My son just happened to have niacin. I took 2 500 mg or units' date=' should that work? Ty btw[/quote']

You need to take 2 or 3 of those about 3 or 4 times a day. It's rough but it works. Two days of this should flush it out of your system. Do you have 2 days?

I bought some new niacin and I've taken four doses. My surgery hasn't been scheduled but I thought it would take at least 30 days to detox. I bought cranberry pills and juice' date=' Vitamin c and niacin. Thank you! ?de0a[/quote']

Plenty of Water too.

I'm reading on Livestrong that to take high doses of niacin (3,000 a day). Drink a ton of Water and use a colonic (yucK). The niacin actually works to stop cravings which I'm having a problem with. The colonic works to remove built up tar. Sounds reasonable.

If you mean out of your bloodstream, then it would only take a day or two max. If you mean how long will the tiny capillaries throughout your body to start becoming more elastic and healthier, then it will take time and supplements will not speed that up.

From what I've researched, nicotine is gone in days, however cotinine stays longer. My son was a heavy pot smoker and was clean in two weeks for the army by using niacin and drinking a gallon of Water a day. I'm just having such a hard time. I don't want to get the call it's in a month and I can't pee clean. I want to be rid of these darn things!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
