cmarie317 24 Posted September 3, 2012 The nurses said my period may start over again once I had my surgery. For some reason idk. But it didn't for the first day or so and now I am 5 days post op and have a heavier period then my normal one!! What the heck?? Has this happened to anyone? Should I be concerned? I know it may seem gross but had to ask.

swilkins 34 Posted September 3, 2012 I got my cycle today, I never experienced cramping like this very excruciating pain, I never had to spend the day in bed. I have a electric warmer, ibuprofin, warm tea, and still in pain. 45 years old, this is torcher.
~Christi~ 54 Posted September 3, 2012 I was going to call my surgeon on Tuesday for the same thing. I am a little over 4 months out and mine are horrible. I cramp like crazy. I retain so much Water weight. My flow is so heavy I sometimes have to wear tampons and pads and sometimes still leak. I am so over this. Sorry I am sure this is TMI but maybe someone is having the same issues. I hate this. I have had 3 babies and I am fixed....I am ready for my period to go away. JustJenn 542 Posted September 3, 2012 I got my period the day after my surgery and was told its because they give you shots to not clot. Surgery 7/25/
TinyMamiOf3kids 1,280 Posted September 3, 2012 I just looked this up online. I will call tomorrow and make an appointment to look into this. I am so fed up with it. It's annoying the crap out of me. I can't take it anymore. Extremely heavy bleeding I can't leave the house unless I have to. Well it'll be over tomorrow or wednesday. I rather have no period or light period then feeling blah over this.
music1618 879 Posted September 3, 2012 They can give you continuous bcp to stop you from bleeding. I have had heavy periods all my life and the best decision I made was a hystorectomy about three years ago.
