I hate to be the party pooper of the group, but does anyone ever feel like the surgery isn't for them. I'm few days away from 3 month and I feel like everything is starting to drive me crazy. I'm having a hard time with eating and drinking still, hormones seem to be raging - maybe Nuvaring?, and I want coke. Im so thirsty and Water make me feel nauseated.

I am with you kiwi. I try hard not to regret it but I am tired of the nausea, I am 2 months out. And I am sick of being sick!! But on the plus side, I have lost 49 pounds. Good and bad

I think it's normal to have feelings like this. I will say it does get better... No consolation at this point I know... But hang in there girls!

I hear you all. There are, and have been, plenty of time I wish I had never had the surgery. I LOVED the entire experience of eating. It is all psychological. This continues to weigh on my thoughts, and I feel regret at times. BUT, knowing this about myself, and how easy it would be to cheat by over eating, I now know that I NEED this tool, this procedure, to put the brakes on and force change. After having the surgery, I have taken charge by taking choice out if the equation, the choice to be wreckless with my eating habits. I HAVE to slow down and make myself aware if everything I put in me. The fear of nausea & vomiting is a great eating inhibitor, and the weight loss is a wonderful benefit. And the time it has taken me to heal and adapt to my be stomach has allowed me to slowly change the way I view my wants and needs where food and nutrition is concerned. One of these days I will actually attend a support group and see if that helps. I'm lucky to have the support of family, friends, and this group, to get thru the inconvenient times. Hang in there... This is truly life changing...

Awesome words, Ray. Thanks so much. I have wondered many times how I will handle my head hunger vs. Tummy hunger. Guess I'll have my answer after Wednesday! Also, I have attended 2 support grp mtgs and really enjoyed them. Hope when you attend, you'll discover the same. Cheers! Diane-surgery date 9/5.

I am in the process of finding something I love to do better than eating. I know it will be hard, but losing the weight and regaining my active lifestyle is so much more important than eating a huge meal. I know I can do it, with God's help.

Yeah my 3 month is on the 11th and I've been sort of discouraged lately... I wish i could just pig out on a piece of pizza or hell I'd kill for a turkey sub. Boy do I miss being able to gulp liquid when thirsty and man do I miss having a beer with friends. I feel your pain... and the scale not moving on-and-off isn't helping

Completely right there with ya.

Especially this weekend, there were all kinds of yummy meats, fruits, veggies, and sweets that were calling my name at cookouts and I couldn't have any...couldn't have a beer or cocktail, and none of the drinks were sugar free and non carbonated! Got stuck with tap Water :(

And here I am watching food network and now craving Mexican food and fried southern food. Going to the grocery store sucks because it's so full of thinks that make me sick. I can't go out to lunch with my friends during our lunch break because they do Arby's or Subway and I just don't feel like paying $5 for a few bites of something.

Today I was complaining of needing to throw up and my daughter said "mom you always say you need to throw up." Well I guess I feel like that most of the day every day. I know this is pessimistic. On the bright side I am saving a ton of money on fast food and am healthier (well maybe b/c I keep forgetting my vitamins). I don't think I will feel better about this until I'm not in plus size clothing and eating 2 bites of low carb per meal. I think it's time to hit up the support group.

My friends were playing beer pong yesterday and I couldn't play! And I still haven't found any thing to help with my constant thirst. Nothing is refreshing!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
