Hey Milan,

i know how your feeling but i think you should call your doctors office and let them know. you don't want to be dealing with a stricture and end up dehydrated

I talk to my nt and because i told her keeping meds down was hard too, she n doc are scheduled late this week. Feel like maybe its me not putting more effort into a strict regimen.

Great idea see your doctor

My surgery was also on 7/30/12 and at times find it hard to keep food down and the smell can also make me sick.

Ain't it strange that what use to give us comfort now repels us.

Definitely sounds like a stricture. Maybe try going back to liquids until your appt?

Good luck!

The for the support. Having five wks gone i didn't expect to struggle with a mere teaspoon of yogurt or mashed potatoes. Even Protein liquids r harder in last few wks I'm not giving up. If it takes till midnight in goin to get this drink down. I wondered Paul, have u counted this past wk as your 5th?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
