My Dad and Stepmom live in Rock Hill' date=' near Carowinds. I have been too big to go and fit on rides or just walk the park. I hate that my 11yr old has been missing out everytime we go to visit. Plus we live in Myrtle Beach and I want to go to waterpark in a decent bathing suit. I can't wait til my surgery to get started on my new life. I just feel so bad that I couldn't do this sooner. My son is the one that has suffered. I had to wait til now because of insurance. I pray I can make it up to him.[/quote']

I know my son looks outside and just looks so sad my gradmother his great-grandmother lives on over five hundred acres and he can run and catch bugs and do whatever he wants and she does it with him even with a broken ankle but when he comes home I live in the city and it just stinks I wanna take him to the "mountains" we live by they are really hills because oklahoma has nothing real big! I just wanna go I wanna move I wanna run hike anything that is not my old life!!

Cart wheel! I don't wanna do that Lolz

Even if I only do one in my whole life I want to be able to experience it finally.

We live 15 minutes away from a six flags great america but I haven't taken Dustin because 1 I used to work there so i hate the whole place 2 I don't think I'd fit on anything with him.

We have a backyard now because we just bought a house but I forget to take him out and play, I'm used to being in the apartment and not being able to get outside much. Our yard is fenced so that's nice, I've been trying to convince David (my bf) to get him a swing set

I was just thinking the same thing this morning. I'm on the church commitee and we took a group pic and I was in the very back. You can hardly see mee I buried myself behind everybody else. I pray that by next year when we take one that I stand in the front. Proud and loud. Lol

One of my goals was to go on a hike with my boys. I did it this past weekend! We did a 3 mile hike through a hilly conservation area on Cape Cod. My 17 yr old son said he was proud of me. He was surprised I took them because last year I wouldn't have even thought of doing something like that! Next goal: running in a 5k!

That would be an awesome goal for me. I hate to have my pic taken. What a milestone would that be if I said Hey so and so would you take my picture. Unimaginable really.

Lap Band Revision to RNY

Waiting for Insurance approval

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
