kisersassy 369 Posted September 2, 2012 Ok so I have until the 24th to lose 5 or more pounds and does anyone have any ideas how I can achieve this. I was going to try doing a liquid diet for a few days to help starting today and I guess I must be hypoglycemic because after one cup of coffee and a Protein Drink I started feeling really shaky and sweaty and felt out of control so I hurried and made another 8 ounce Protein drink and it didn't help so ended up eating a sandwich. So after feeling like a failure because I couldn't even go a day I ended up eating 2 slices of pizza and 5 chicken wings. HELP!!!!
nikkiba75 276 Posted September 2, 2012 What you should do is figure out what part of the day you are hungriest And eat a meat and vegetable meal If you can't do only liquid eat Protein tuna, chicken breast, eggs etc. I couldn't do straight liquid either so I eat Protein for lunch I lost 38 pounds before surgery Keep working at it that's all that matters God bless Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk

kisersassy 369 Posted September 2, 2012 Yeah I gained 7 last month so now I can't gain any and have to lose it I am scared to death of getting denied because of gaining during this 7 month insurance stuff. The nurse practitioner said it is normal and she will make sure to note about quitting smoking but I have to lose 5 pounds this month then 3-4 in October which is my last appointment before sending info for approval

I did it because I was afraid of dying from cancer & leaving two special need kids with out a mom. It had nothing to do with surgery. After I was tired of gaining weight & being fat I decided on WLS. kisersassy 369 Posted September 2, 2012 I am selfish because I quit to save money and for the surgery. My surgeon says as long as you quit at least 2 weeks before surgery. But I wanted to save money and do it sooner so that I could use the 7 months to change my bad habits. Like smoking and coffee. These 2 things substained me for years and years. I only would eat dinner and snack at night. Never would I eat Breakfast or lunch and it has been hard to change that habit at first. But now goooood God!!! All I want is food and more food and gets even worst a week before that time of month. I feel I am losing a losing battle. One of the things I do look forward too after surgery is not feeling hungry

I do now eat 3 meals a day and try not to forget my Vitamins.

juditha 48 Posted September 3, 2012 I find that if i drink Water it keeps the hunger at bay ... I start my morning with about a liter and a half ( just under 50 oz i think) i sit down with a jug and make myself drink it. Not only it makes me feel full , also i find myself thirstier than if i dont drink , so i end up drinking alot more Water. Water will help u loose too... And i end up doing alot of sport too !!! -- running to pee ever 5 minutes!! :-) . But dont drink alot of water the day of your weigh in as it will make you gain. Good luck fingers crossed
kisersassy 369 Posted September 3, 2012 I will try the Water. I do plan yo discuss the hypoglycemic thing with my doctors because it has been happening a lot more then usual. With diabetes in my family it is possible that it is a pre diabetic sign
