judid 54 Posted September 4, 2012 Why eat salads? It fills you up and u don't get Protein? Unless u add meat... Just saying. If you eat dark, leafy greens and other vegetables you are getting valuable nutrition not empty calories. You are also eating Fiber which will help the digestive process when your digestion is ready and healed. Head lettuce is empty calories and just filler you need dark green, red and other vegetables for a healthy diet. Obviosly when you are early in this process you want to eat Protein first and foremost and add those vegetables as you are able to tolerate per your MD instructions. georgiagirl 34 Posted September 4, 2012 I eat salad all the time it is one of the few things that satisfy me my favorite is a little spring mix with grilled chicken apples blue cheese pecans and a dash of simply fresh pamogranit dressing sooooooo good plenty of Protein and satisfying. barebones 28 Posted September 4, 2012 All this talk of salad made me want one !! So today I got the small strawberry/blueberry salad from Wendy's with chicken and it was awesome!!!
