2ndTimesTheCharm 68 Posted September 1, 2012 Are we allowed to eat strawberries or raspberries at 2 weeks out? I want to blend a few into my shake but someone told me that was a no-no. My surgeon or nutritionist never mentioned them and they are closed for the holiday....anyone been told not to for any reason?? Thanks!
TinyMamiOf3kids 1,280 Posted September 1, 2012 I would try a small amount & see if it agree with me. 1 2ndTimesTheCharm reacted to this
JustJenn 542 Posted September 1, 2012 I was told no but when I talked to a friend who had surgery 2 days after me, she had been doing strawberries in her Protein all along. & with straw she said it was the "only way" she could get it down. Try it see if you can handle it Surgery 7/25/12 1 2ndTimesTheCharm reacted to this
2ndTimesTheCharm 68 Posted September 1, 2012 Thanks ladies! My friend said it wasn't about the fruit itself or the texture but more the seeds. Shes telling me that the seeds could get caught in the staple line inside my stomach or something... I dunno. It sounds a bit ridiculous but hey with this surgery a lot of things are. Anyhow, I think I will buy some and try. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger right?? Lol (so sick of the plain shakes!)
rpil003 101 Posted September 1, 2012 I used the frozen ones and they were fine, no seeds really. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk 1 2ndTimesTheCharm reacted to this
