I eat out every night. It's just me and my husband, so I don't cook any more. Before we go, I check the nutrient content on wherever we're going so I'll know what to order and how much I can eat. I hope that helps.

My Dr said no fresh uncooked fruit or veggies for at least a month. They make the stomach work too hard to digest and we ar still trying to heal.

That's what I do. If I can't check in time I stick with grilled poultry or fish.

What is wrong with me?

Your normal LMFAO WLS affects everyone in different way. Sometimes I don't get that full feeling but I stop because I will end up vomiting which hurts like a mother.

I DID IT!! I ate out today! My hubby and I went to mucho burrito, where with the help of my Restaurant Card (pictured below) I was able to order a tiny kid's meal chicken and bean burrito (no rice, spices or anything extra) I ate two bites and was fully satisfied! Sat well and had choc milk after! So happy! Cost less than $5 and the burrito makes 4 me-size meals!! YAY!

Big photo on left is for the ER doctors to remind them what they be careful of and shows a diagram of what was done, top right photo says the surgeon's name and surgery date, bottom right asks restaurants to let me order from the kids menu :)

Actually I JUST heard from a friend who had her surgery three years ago that APPARENTLY she was on each stage for TWO weeks!? Whereas I was only on each stage for a week each...has anyone else heard/done this??

I stayed in the hospital for 3 days. The day I went home I was on soft foods. I guess you can say purée. By my third week I didn't have any diet restrictions. The doctor said I was doing so good he didn't see a problem. He just reminded me to chew, chew, chew and eat slowly. So far I have never been sick to my stomach. Some foods give me an uncomfortable feeling. But that's it. When I feel like that I just go back to the soft diet for a couple of days.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
