Anyone had this? It started last night....my belly had been hurting a little since yesterdays lunch (I thought off was the strange sauce on my chicken)....I really noticed it just a few mins ago....I'm 10 weeks post op....is this a PCP kind of thing or do I call my surgeons office?

Haven't had surgery to know if it is normal but blood in your urine seems like it would be a issue with kidney or bladder and not digestive system related. I would let your surgeon know but he may refer you to PCP. However blood in urine is not a normal thing and normally mean something is wrong so I would let someone know. But not a dr or have I had surgery. Hope everything is aright and you feel better soon.

You and I are in the same boat together. I noticed blood in my urine yesterday and will be seeing my pcp today. I had a bladder infection over a month ago and discussed it with my surgeon. It is common for us to get bladder infections now due to the decrease in Fluid intake. I would still call your surgeon to let them know what is going on. Good luck and hopefully you do not have the pain I have right now.

Sounds like a UTI. Call your PCP. Hope you feel better.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
