My doctor has his patients do 3-4 days liquid only then 2 wks "soft" (yogurt, Soup, etc) the 2 wks semi-soft (tuna, wet chicken etc) then slowly on to regular food with trying one new food per day.

I was on liquids for 3 weeks, puréed/soft for 3 weeks, then solids.

I find that my surgeon is pretty quick. Had surgery 11 days ago and I'm cleared to have chicken and fish and all soft puréed stuff. So far I've been doing great!
