Blew it and I'm concerned about the urine test. I've smoked about a pack in the last week. I've been taking Vitamin C drinking oh and eating lots of fruit. Have I done myself in by the 5 cigarettes I've smoked per day. I really need advice as what to do. The stress of all this is really getting to me, the waiting. Help!

Yeah, how long does nicotine stay in your system? I haven't smoked for three days now. I pray I can quit for good. What is the sense in having this surgery to be healthier and then die from cancer or complications from smoking. Pray that I have the willpower to put them down for good. I will pray for you too kimpossible67.

Nicotine stays in your system a short time, it's the cotinine I'm worried about. I just drowned the rest of my cigarettes, lol. Prayers for you too. How about we keep each other on track. 2:58 pm, last one. I'm bigger than those addictive little suckers and so are you!

It's tough but can be done. Get hard candies and lots of gum. Easy using to much cinnamon candies as it can kill good bacteria in your mouth and cause thrush

I got my brother quitting dipping with me too. That way I have a quit buddy. It's so hard though. Someone offered me a cig today and I said no. I was so proud but wanted one bad for hours afterward. I am determined more than I want to smoke.

My husband quit smoking with me but he started dipping same day. He plans to stop that too when the urge of no cigs leaves him I guess

My brother stopped dipping the same day I quit smoking, Sunday. We are gonna do it together. I cheated a little with a cigar but I didn't inhhale, lol. I wonder if one of those electronic cigs would be a good idea?

That's what I am using. It has helped. The first week I only used hard candy. Then I bought the E-cig at the gas station and it does help

Not too bad but if you they of how much weekly you spend on cigs they are cheap. I have a fuma brand electronic cig I bought the start up kit which included the charger and a menthol and light cartridge cost about 25 bucks plus tax. Then I bought the full flavor cartridges which has. 5 cartridges and that lasts me about 2 weeks and it cost 13 bucks. So a lot cheaper then real cigs

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
