mslady 9 Posted August 28, 2012 Oh sweetie I know it is a pain in the ass. I just got my date, 10/4/12 and I first met with my surgeon last December. Use this time wisely. Try things like, only eating a small portion while your family and friends eat normally, taste the Proteins, not necessarily for taste but for texture. Your tastes will change after surgery. Start walking if you haven't already. Go to support groups. I thankful for my time bc I have made Frieda through support group who I would have never met. PaulB 346 Posted August 29, 2012 MSLADY is right on the money if there is a support group near you go sit in you don't have to wait till you have surgery. This way you get to see what it will be like after surgery. We went befor surgery and have meet some new friends got great advise and learned more the we could have reading every book written on WLS.
