I was eating pureed chicken thighs and veggies for the most part. Anything I could have, I ate. Now I eat normal foods- anything that is not fatty, fried, etc. I cant say I was 100% compliant, but I did and do my best.

Wow.. you are beautiful and look amazing. When are you do? My docotors office told all the women that are of child bearing years that they could not get pregnant for 18 months after surgery, I guess because your may not be able to get enough nutrition. Keep up the good work :)

Thanks BBdoodle! This definitely was not planned. I was denied birth control because of my weight and Migraines. Once I lost enough about 30 days after the bypass, I went to get BC. I was waiting for my next cycle to start for the BC and it never came! I am due in March, so technically I was pregnant abt 1 1/2 months out. It is a struggle, but I take different Vitamins and eat every 2-3 hours. I havent gained any weight and they dont expect me too. I am praying for two healthy, strong babies!

Wow... that is crazy !!! You will have two heathly babies - just do what your ob/gyn and bypass doctor tells you to do. Even if you gain weight you will loose it after the babies plus it will just be baby weight anyway - Please keep us posted and you must post pic of the little ones :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
