SusieB29 10 Posted August 26, 2012 I can't keep food down 2 endoscopes later and I just lost my job. I want a glass of wine bad. I'm at 5 weeks. Anyone?
kmiller 146 Posted August 26, 2012 Sorry you're having troubles. If you want a glass of wine, try it. Sip slowly and make sure you drink it at home.
MsCook 38 Posted August 26, 2012 It probably wouldn't hurt you but watch the sugar content so you don't dump. How about a Miller 64 (64-calorie beer)?

BBdoodle 483 Posted August 27, 2012 I had wine about 3 months post op, I had a glass at home just to gauge how I will handle alochol. I did not even the a buzz !!! I was told by my doctors office in one of the classes that when you drink you can get extremely buzzed after RNY so be very careful. In my case the wine is the same as it was pre-op. I have not tried any other alcohol yet... maybe I will try a vodka and see if that has any different affects on me. But wine i was OK with.
PaulB 346 Posted August 28, 2012 The worst part of WLS the 227 bottles of wine we have in our wine cellar. Before you think I'm a drunk we bought the house with the wine cellar already in it. And my wife's cousin works for a liqueur distrubitur. And is always giving us wine to try. I like the hard stuff like Knob Creek single malt my wife likes Red Cat wine Tempted to try but I was born a chicken Surgery Anniversary 7/30/12 1 JustJenn reacted to this
