Next week will be my 7 month mark, and so far this month I have only lost 5 pounds. That's 5 pounds in 3 weeks? Umm... Hope next week I loose some more. We'll see :/

Sorry guys, just needed to vent. We all hit these frustrating stages...

It really is frustrating! Been stalled for almost a month, it's hard to be doing all the right things and not see progress

I have lost about 108lbs..

Wow that's amazing! I guess it's normal to start to slow down after 7 months and over 100 lbs. It's frustrating but try to be positive. You've come such a long way. How many times did you lose 5 lbs in 3 weeks before surgery? Maybe a couple times, but if you were like me they just gained right back. At least you know you are still headed in the right direction. By the looks of your profile pic, you are looking great!

Congrats on the major weight loss and hang in there. Sending vibes for a plateau buster week next week!

Thanks for that good vibes! ;)

Yeah i know we start to slow down after 100lbs., but I'm still really over weight, I just kinda stress about me hitting the year mark, and not reaching a healthy weight. But I'm such an over thinker! I need to just relax. Lol

Btw my surgery was February 15th

I think we all think of ourselves as overweight. I am only about 3 months post op, and I am thinner than I have been in 20 years. I actually have some curves and the men are coming out of the wood work , so not used to that. Lol . I am not afraid to take pictures now.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
