umonica 0 Posted August 12, 2004 What does it feel like to reach your "Sweet Spot"? I've had 3 fills. I'm at 3.cc I can still eat normally amounts as long as I eat slow and chew things up real well. I thinking after eating around a cup of food I should feel Full. Thats not the case. I can feel the food going down, thats why I have to eat slow. If I eat too fast or not chew well WOW that painful. But as long as I eat Slow and chew the food well I can eat my normal amount of food. Is this normal?

Is this normal? To quote a very well versed lapband practitioner - 'just because you can, does not mean you should.' I have to remind myself of that everyday. How long are you working on this meal? It's been said if you are eating longer than 15-20 minutes, you're eating too much. Something else, I have to remind myself of often. Sometimes, my head isn't real interested in hearing that. You are right. Our pouches should only hold around 4 oz. Depending on what you are eating, that may or may not move through the stoma slowly. Be especially careful with packing the pouch with more - this is how pouch dilation comes about. If you are losing an average of 5-10 lbs per month, you are right on track.
