27 And 7 Wks Post Op

Recommended Posts

Hi all! I am new to the forums! I had RNY on July 2nd. I have lost 30 lbs since surgery and 110 pre op. I am down 140 from 365. A number I never want to see again. Actually I never want to weigh more than 199! I am having trouble with craving and I have already had dumping. I am trying my best and watching my Protein and going to the gym etc. I get so frustrated and I am having a hard time seeing any changes. How do u deal with the mind struggling?

I am 2 and half months out. I only weight myself once every two weeks. And i have had weight stalls but even with them my clothes r getting loser. food i still crave a soda or some chips but i always carry cheese and meat and mio in a little cooler so i dont get tempted to even try them. So far i have gone from size 22 to a 13/14 and it is so worth it not to even try it cause i am in love with the new me and my new energy.

I'm 22 and 4 weeks out. Good for you. Can't believe you lost over 100 pounds pre op! That's amazing! I'm craving like mad! I'm watching a lot of cooking shows an cooking for my family a lot even though I can't eat the meals. But losing the weight is worth it and I'm super looking forward to getting a new wardrobe.

That's amazing! Congrats! I'm 3 weeks out. I lost 14 my first two weeks together and I've lost nothing during week 3. I'm hoping the scale drops some next week! I'm getting discouraged!

I've lost 118 pre op and with post op. I started drinking pop, but I'm having my last one tonight, I would of gave it away, but where I live I can't give my pop to someone else. Saw my doctor and she gave me heck, but its something I knew, but I've had a very stressful couple months my dad went into the hospital, and everything happening I got off track, but I'm getting back to the diet, and find myself again, and get back on track. I went from size 30 pants, to a size 20. Shirts I went from 4x to 5x and know I'm in size xl which feels good and want to continue going down in clothes and weight. So thats an insetive to get back on the diet. So I've gotten of track, but getting back on track. Here is a new life and future. Good luck everybody.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
