Hello Doctor C

Was wondering I had to get the saline taken out of my band cause my pouch had gotten to big from overeating and vomiting, I am told to let theband rest for 2 weeks and hopefully start filling again in 2 weeks. Question what am I better off with eating from now till then?? Any suggestions so I don't pack on the pounds, liquid diet Protein shakes low carb??? My doc said just reamin eating the same small portions small bites and no shakes cause its just empty calories, but I still feel confused and would like more advice on this. Any information you can give me I really appreciate it!!!

Sorry I just now saw your post...

Sometimes we put patients on a Medifast diet during this time but basically it doesn't matter as long as you keep the portion sizes and calories low. Probably the best thing would be to keep the carbs low. If you still need advice feel free to email my dietitian erin@thebanddoctor.com
