WEll, I am 3.5 weeks post op and I am down 50 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!the 50 is counting the prior weeks liquid diet. So 4.5 weeks and 50 lbs. Could not be happier. It is a lot but I started out at 386 so I had quite a bit to lose than most so it is coming off faster at first. Why you ask is this a huge milestone???? Because I want to lose 200 total. So I am 1/4 of the way there. I want to stop at 186 ish because I am 6 foot tall.

Saw a neat idea on pinterest by the way. Take 2vases and in one put the amount u want to lose and the other empty and transfer over as you lose it, super cheap and a good motivation

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
