Berlyann 4 Posted August 17, 2012 Tbats just fluids.. I havent weight yet.. Im not sure I want to know....I had to get 3 units of blood and Im really starting to feel better... Keeping all liquids down, gas is my worst enemy right now!
MsCook 38 Posted August 17, 2012 Yes, Jade, it's definitely the fluids. I had RNY on Friday 8/10 and was up 7 pounds when I got home on Sunday. I know it's startling, but it goes away very quickly. By Tuesday I had lost back to the pre-surgery weight plus 1.5#. So, don't worry! BerlyAnn, you could try "Little Tummies" simethecone drops. It's basically anti-gas for babies and about 2 dropperfuls helps a lot.
