Not sure if this is right place to vent a little bit. If not, could someone please point me in the right direction?

So....I had Panda Express today. It was a mother daughter outing, we went dress shopping for my cousin's wedding and my daughter wanted to go to PE. I said yes, I thought that I would be able to handle it, BOY was I wrong. Not only did I get sick, literally, after 2 bites but now I have this aweful quilt that I am feeling. I feel miserable that I even went there. Remind you, I am almost 4 weeks post-op. I feel like I should be exercising or something but it's so dang hot here in the PNW (pacific northwest) that going outside would be murder. I don't understand why I am feeling this way. Am I going to feel this way every time I try something that I used to like? This is a learning process, but it is a mental processes as well. /sigh

Welp, thanks for reading.

What did you eat there? If you ate too fast it can make you feel bad. If you ate something (meat, veggie, rice) too soon, your pouch may not like it. It may have been the way the food was prepared (grease/oil).

If its to hot outside I have found this walking DVDs that you can get at Walmart for about 10$ you can do a mile a day or if you are feeling good that day you can do up to 5 miles. Also the DVD has exercises to tone your legs and arms there great DVDs and are worth buying.

I just ordered Leslie Sansone DVD off of Amazon. I have a gift card balance, so why not. Thank you for the suggestion. And it will be great since I live in Oregon, where it rains alot, having those dvd's on hand will be great.

Hey, I'm only 17 days post op but I think what you're going thru is normal!! I live in FL and its super hot here too!! Did PE make you dump?

No...well I am not sure if it made me dump. I haven't experienced any of the symptoms of dumping. I think I ate too fast possibly. But man when it's ready to come up, you better find a bathroom fast. I barley made it.

I ordered a bowl, chow mein and a chicken vegi side. I forgot what it was called. But..I had 1 small bite of chow mein and 1 small bite of chicken. But technically I am supposed to be in the puree stage, so I am thinking that I just got over zealous and ate too fast or the chow mein didn't sit well. I normally don't have an issue with chicken.

I notice I can't eat Chinese food anymore. Must be the grease they use. Even there Soup I can't keep down.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
