irshangel 13 Posted August 12, 2012 Im into my 2 week post-op and Im getting very bored and antsy !! I want to CHEW !! need some ideas. Thanks
LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted August 12, 2012 It is difficult to get that "chew" at 2 weeks out. I was only allowed liquids plus greek yogurt, scrambled egg whites or cottage cheese that you could actually chew to liquid form before swallowing. Not many food choice items during this stage. I'm now in Stage 4 where I can have solid Proteins but, still no carbs, fruit or veggies. Chewing chicken to liquid form takes some time for sure. I am allowed mash potatoes or mashed sweet potato but, only if I meet my Protein requirements for the day first. Thats my only carb allowed right now. LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted August 12, 2012 Oh it's definitely harder when the menu is limited. I'm looking forward to having options myself. Keep up the good work irshangel! You can do it!
music1618 879 Posted August 12, 2012 Try hewing ice. It is crunchy, and you are getting your liquids in. I found that sonic drive in ice is the best! 2 candycothran and bpbeadles reacted to this
