Sounds like you are doing well to me. Try chicken or turkey it has lots of Protein in a tiny amount

What is the total amount you want to lose? 44 is wonderful! I'm not far behind you. I've had stalls that I thought would never end. Keep up the good work and you will get there. I found a lime Greek yogurt that I really like. It has 13 grams of Protein. I drink an Atkins shake(ready to drink-can't stomach the ones you shake up) every morning, 15 grams. I use reduced fat Ritz, low fat cheese and low fat lunch meat, I eat about five and get roughly 8 grams out of that. My hair is falling out from where I had such a hard time in the beginning. Doing great now though. Almost 50 pounds gone. I can't believe in just a few days I will be halfway to my goal already! This surgery has been a life saver, even though it almost killed me in the beginning...lol!

Doing much better' date=' thanks! Still not quite getting enough Protein in but I feel good most days. My surgeon doesn't seem as strict as most. I'm allowed carbs in moderation. But I don't have hundreds to lose either. I can eat most healthy things in small amounts. I ate a few of my sons French fries the other night and ended up with the foamies....yuck!

Yeah, I don't do well with French fries they tend to get stuck.

Well, I started out on 9/11/12 at 344, and today at 254, so I should not be whining, but unable now to really keep anything down. tuna makes me gag, Protein drinks , Yuchi, little scrambled eggs ok. Does anyone have a good food suggestions?

ok i have a horrible problem.

thought i had food poisening last week but last night symptoms returned: shakes , fever, vomiting , horrible gas, and constant nausea. i tried a Syntrax matrix shake made with milk(didnt have any lactaid or even 2% in the house so used whole milk) tasted great went down fine. 2 hours later shaking, vomiting etc all night felt horrible everytime i got up to pee vomting dry heaving for 2 min awful! every moring at work i am nauseated, vomited this am(and by vomit i mean the motion there is nothing in there so its saliva and what little Water i get in) i try to eat my cream of wheat or banana but its hard due to the nausea. I have to force myself to eat. I am so miserable i really need to figure out what is causing this. any ideas?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
