goddessblaze 98 Posted September 27, 2012 Well' date=' Hello everybody. It's been so long since I posted and since my surgery on the 14th. After surgery I didn't feel like doing anything and was regretting doing the surgery in the first place but I'm over that and ready to begin my journey. Let's just say my surgery didn't go so well. After the surgery I was having extreme pain so they took a ct scan and had to go back in and do the surgery over because I had a blockage. Definitely not something my surgeon did or anything. I love her to death, it's just something that happens. So my hospital stay went from 2 days to a week and then they found nodules on my lungs that have doubled in size in the last couple months. Not good at all, possible cancer but if it wasn't for the ct scan they would have never found it. But as for the weight loss journey, I'm ready!!! I'm on a full liquid diet now and so far so good. Good Luck everybody who has had and will have the surgery. [/quote'] I prayer that you be lifted up in to the most holy and his healing hands be layed on your body.that this will not be cancer.God is a great a powerful God and I know he will heal you. My greatest wish for you. I hope you have a wonderful week and let nothing steal you peace. . Best wishes and earnrest regards... 2 Clairpooh and Riverbuff2 reacted to this
goddessblaze 98 Posted September 27, 2012 Dang a lot has been going on with everyone. As I posted before my surgery went great' date=' I got all my horrible complications pre op starting with MRSA scare, a fib episodes, injuring my SI joint during my IVC filter placement, and busting my toe with the scale in the br right before my surgery. Post op the worse pain has been my SI joint pain, I am able to walk very well, passed my leak test, tolerating clears, and been burping away from the start so no shoulder pain just occasional burning pain around my q pump. I am not hungry at all my taste buds are fine so far and I still love to chew ice and tolerate cold so I am happy about that. I love being able to drink sip sip sip no problems but I do take everything slow. I have used my incentive spirometer like a religion and am almost back to pre op levels. I talked my doc into keeping my pca through the night tonight cuz the SI joint was still hurting a lot but that got better today spontaneously and I am not using it much so I feel fine about switching to oral pain meds tmr. Hope to go home tmr not sure when I will know.Oh my blood sugars have improved greatly and my Bp is normal so I have refused the Bp med they wanted to start cuz I Think it will bottom me out and my nurses agree. That's my story and I am sticking to it good luck to all in their recoveries![/quote'] Back to the show go on.your on the finals...lol... No my dear you won.let me get you your tiara... Uniqueladybug 80 Posted September 27, 2012 Hello everyone... Boy we've had our share of ups and downs, September to remember indeed! At least everyone that had surgery came out alive! I've noticed that on this stage (full liquid) I have no limit. I mean I can drink or have pudding and not get full. I accidentally took more than a sip and did fine. I know liquids don't sit in your pouch like puree or regular food but I need a limit. I can eat four ounces of pudding right after drinking a large amount. I've experienced dumping already, not by choice. They gave me nsa yogurt in the hospital five days after surgery. Soooooo sick! I was just wondering how everyone is doing with the amount they can take in? What about Protein? Required liquid intake? Jessica

Trying to keep sipping, looking forward to when it gets easier to sip water! Surgery 9/24/12

Surgery 9/24/12 344[/quote'] I found a decaf/artificially sweetened instant tea that I love. It has 15 calories per serving so I make it just a little weak. I could drink it all day, well I do! It's 4C brand. Jessica
chunkypudding 22 Posted September 27, 2012 I've been home since yesterday by 4:30. Last night and this morning hurt the worst. I want to heal right now. Keep having to tell myself I made the right choice. Sure is hard. I get weepy and ask "why did I do this to myself?" I know it will get better. I felt do good at hospital I got to thinking, "hey, it's not so bad!" Just seems to get worse. Wish I could sleep through the whole recovery. Ok, enough whining like a baby for now. I really am going to be fine. I sure wish the best to all of you! 1 berniec reacted to this

Jessica[/quote'] Hi Surgery Buddy, I too can drink and eat pudding, yogurt as much as I want. I can also take a pretty big sip. I'm not hungry though and I am pretty sick of eating the same Sh*t, so I don't eat or drink that much. Just back from my doc, had my drain removed, all is well. ONE more week of liquids, next week is a combined purée and soft. Maggie 1 Uniqueladybug reacted to this

The dr has me on 4-6 oz of Protein Shake for Breakfast lunch and dinner, with a few oz of broth or Jello in between as a snack. I am ready for things to even out. Saturday I am supposed to move to soft foods with Protein 2-3 times a day. I am thinking I will need a more smooth transition, maybe starting some yogurt and smooth Soup in the next two days. 4Kimmy2 56 Posted September 27, 2012 I can't believe a job would try to pull some bullshit and have you off without pay. They can be sued for causing you pain and suffering. Also for putting you back emotionally. I hope that you get to the bottom of it and make them pay!! Everyone who has had surgery WOOHOO!!! We certainly have been through some trying times!! Thank you to all of you for giving support, kind words and being here for not only me but each other. Too bad the world isn't always so helpful to others. I'm on the liquid diet still and have an appt with the Dr Oct 4th. Who's left to have surgery? Make sure you have a pillow in the car for the ride home its comfy for you and you don't have the seatbelt on your tummy. CHAPSTICK CHAPSTICK CHAPSTICK!!! Ice chips will taste yummers! Walk as much as you can because it helps and you want to get out of the hospital I can't believe September is almost over. We are on the LOSERS BENCH!!!! 2 berniec and RNYlizparris reacted to this

Judeabooo 17 Posted September 27, 2012 Today has been rough and it's all my fault. I've had such an easy time that I got carried away and forgot I had just had surgery on Monday. Well boy oh boy am I paying for it today. My pain level has been through the rough. Taken pain medication every 4 hours when I was only having to take it 2 maybe 3 times a day. Lets just say my body let me know I was getting a little to cocky. So spent all of today in bed and will more than likley repeat it tomorrow. :"( Ya live and ya learn. SASSY, I did the same thing hon. We have to remember we had major surgery. Praying for you dear.

RNYlizparris 22 Posted September 27, 2012 Decided to try a few bites of SF pudding. That went well, so I made puréed black bean Soup for dinner. Very delicious and the pouch approved! Surgery 9/24/12 344 2 berniec and Uniqueladybug reacted to this
