kristaroberts 27 Posted August 10, 2012 Hey, was wondering what everyone else is doing. They say only take small sips of Water. Now I'm 3 1/2 months post op. Does anyone still take sips? This far out? Lol
music1618 879 Posted August 10, 2012 I really base it on how my stomach is feeling that day and what time of day it is. It seems mornings I have to sip, but as the day progresses I can drink more and more with each drink.
BBdoodle 483 Posted August 10, 2012 I usually sip but sometimes I forget and gulp and when the gulp of Water or tea is going down it hurt like hell !!!
irshangel 13 Posted August 10, 2012 Im a week and a half out, and it seems that I do not have to sip any more, I don't take huge gulps, but enough to satifiy.
LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted August 10, 2012 depends on the time of day for me as well. In the morning it's as if I have to wake my stomach up so I have to be very careful how much I take in and how fast. As the afternoon comes around and I've eaten, I'm able to take a couple sips together of cold Water and then wait a minute and be able to take more. It's so tricky....yesterday I did that and then by mistake took a good size sip and could feel it in my esophogus for a short time. Had to wait for it to go down. music1618 879 Posted August 10, 2012 I will say that my pouch will let me know if I drink to much. This may sound bad, but throwing up Water is so easy compared to food. I will happily throw up water!
