You may want to check with your doctor but I was allowed cream Soups in my liquid phase. As long as they were the Healthy Request and I strained them.

My nutritionist told me only 2 grams of added sugar. She said if its more than 2 grams to check the first 5 ingredients on the label and if their are added sugars and syrups do not touch. But if it's sugars that are naturally in the food, I would be fine.

And also, in my liquid phase, I am allowed cream Soups, yogurt & pudding as long as they're strained before eating.

You could ask your doctor about diet V-8 splash. Mine gave me the ok for it after 1 week along with cream Soups, no sugar added fudgsicals, an Tomato Soup. It had to be diluted but still nice to have a different variety!

Mine said to stick with Campbell's or health smart because they have the most variety. I did a lot of cream of potato, mushroom, and cheddar broccoli. Mine just had to be strained and diluted. So it would be 1 cup milk 1/2 cup skim milk 1/2 cup Water or all water. Campbell's offered all those Soups in a "healthier" variety do it was less calories and what not and they went down well for me. I didn't try Tomato cuz I wasn't really a fan before surgery

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
