I'm two weeks post op tomorrow and whenever my belly hurts it's below my belly button to the far left. Well tonight it hurts like crazy. I can't even squat down. Is this normal? I'm scared it might be something else.

My doctor says that's your new full feeling, try eating slower and don't drink while you eat. Good luck

I ate 5 hours ago though? I just drank half a cup of iced tea. Maybe that's it?

Most doctors do their heavy work on the left side for the rny. So it is normal to have pain on that left side. However call your doctors office and make sure!

I had the same pain about two weeks postop and the surgeons PA explained there was probably a large suture there that was attached to my muscle and as it was healing it was pulling on the muscle. To me it was like a tearing pain below my belly button. It was excruciating but ice helped a lot. It went away as the sutures dissolved.

Ps. It wouldn't hurt to call your doctor and ask them about it. That's what they're there for.

All that makes sense if he works on that side and the healing from inside. I haven't felt it like that since that night but mild every now and then.
