DaniG 54 Posted August 4, 2012 I'm eating all the right things and exercising. My weight is coming off slow! I look like I'm smaller but it's not showing on the scale. Depressing.

LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted August 5, 2012 Are you watching your Protein intake? Are you eating enough? If you don't take in enough protein/calories your body will stop losing. Best suggestion is to talk to your nutritionist/bariatric group for suggestions. 1 Marezy reacted to this
ajcappy 13 Posted August 5, 2012 I went to the health food store and bought non flavor Protein . And add too scoops into everything I have. I got up to 72 grams today . You can't taste is at all might change the color but still taste good. 1 Marezy reacted to this
DaniG 54 Posted August 5, 2012 I am definitely not getting enough Protein. I need to buy the Protein Powder bc I can't stand Protein Shakes anymore. Today I ate 354 calories and burned 383 calories. Shouldn't I be losing weight at that rate?
DaniG 54 Posted August 5, 2012 I had 47 grams of Protein today.
LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted August 5, 2012 Dani you would think since you're burning more than youre taking in you'd lose but, our bodies will go into starvation mode and hold onto the weight. Defintely call your bariatric center/nutritionist for suggestions. It's the best way to go and know for sure. Good luck! 1 Marezy reacted to this
babygirl45 7 Posted August 5, 2012 Hang in there. I am 1 year post op have and it took me a long time before I started to see the numbers I was hoping to see drop... My family and friends noticed a change in my face and arms almost instantly (less than a week) but to me it was the number phsycing me out. Just stick to it, keep a positive additude, and maybe try to stop watching the scale. Go from weighing yourself everyday to every other or twice a week. I did this and before I knew it without realizing I had lost 50 lbs before returning to work :-) Good luck! 2 Marezy and jenneliza reacted to this
