speedydvr 25 Posted August 3, 2012 Myself have a week of clear, a week of full liquids, a week of puréed, a week of soft, then add in a few new items over week 6&7, but what I'm noticing is that there really isn't a set structure. Some Dr.s say do this and some say do that....in fact in my practice alone two different surgeons have very different policies... So what's the deal?
my3stars 88 Posted August 3, 2012 No clue in my practice there are three and each one is different from food to how the operate. For instance two of them do not put in drains and mine does.
BBdoodle 483 Posted August 3, 2012 My doctor has a total of 3 surgeons in this practice... they all are on the same page with the diet which is almost exactly what yours is. I am 4 months post op and still just eat very soft mushy food, when I try different things sometimes my stomach hurts and/or I don't feel good. I have been sticking to what works best for me. Of course I tell my dr. that I am still on mushy food and he is ok with it as long as it is low calorie / low fat etc.
