Here are my stats:

Surgery date: 6/18

Pre op weight: 229lbs

Surgery weight: 215lbs

Any advice would be very muh appreciated!

Ps: i walk 4-5x a wk, drink plenty of Water, eat as I'm supposed, and take my Vitamins....

Perhaps I'm confused but if today's weight is 188 and your pre-op weight was 229, that's a loss of 41 lbs. July 30th was six weeks post-op so you lost 6.83 lbs per week. It don't get much better than that. Congratulations! Well done! Celebrate your success and keep doing exactly what you're doing. You may be having a bit of a stall. Natural part of the weight loss process and it will pass. Patience and realistic expectations are absolutely crucial. Stay focused on following the protocol, stay active, and stay away from the scales for at least a week, two would be even better. Absolutely no reason to be discouraged.

6 weeks is about the time my weight loss slowed down, but losing is losing and you are doing great. Stalling will happen but keep focused and eat Protein also.

The guys nailed it. Have faith that if you are doin as instructed with regards to diet and exercise you will lose. The surgery is working. It is hard when it slows down and your expectations don't match up with your current rate. Be positive, have faith, and hang in there! You will be reaching your goal before you know it!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
