Went shopping today with kevinsbabygirl. She convinced me to enter an outlet store that I'd never see myself walking into. OLD NAVY!!!!

She convinced me to try on a 42 jeans. Now may I remind you I was a 64+ jean when I started. Moral of the story, find that special someone to challenge you and push you to the next level!!!

Looking hot btw! I must say that yes it is so amazing to put on a size you swear will be too small to only find out it actually fits or almost fits, either way it is exciting. Been experiiencing this last weekend and dang it felt good. At work people pass me and say "wow you are melting away" and my clothes look like they belong to a clown. I keep getting told to go shopping LOL. too funny and fun to hear these kind of comments, and everyone has been so positive and encouraging at work and home, I am blessed for sure. Kevin you are right it sure helps to have those people who are positive and encourage you to make the positive strides. I have a couple of women at work who do that and one who decided she would be my RNY buddy and do all the things I do even though she has not had surgery (haha riiiiight) and execise with me, use same Vitamins, use same Shampoo etc she still eats anything she wants and has yet to exercise with me, but hey she offered LOL. She did buy the vitamins and shampoo haha. It was sweet though.

My sweetie of 25 years though is my biggest supporter and Nick is always there to encourage me and tell me to stay strong and not get defeated. He works out with me, he makes my Protein Shakes for me etc... Again let me say it again I AM BLESSED!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
