americas_suiteheart 53 Posted August 1, 2012 I find myself crying and becoming emotional over EVERYTHING ! For instance, I was at red light trying to make a right turn and I started balling right there and crying ,"there are so many cars ! Why won't they stop coming." Another example, I went into target today and a little girl pulled on my dress and said , "when I get big and strong, I want to look just like yoooouuuuu. You are pretty" . I didn't even know her, she was like 4 and I started crying ! Like boo hooing. I'm not depressed but I AM stressing and I really don't know why . I am just soooooo ugh ... Wish I had a word but I don't . I don't miss the foods I loved but I do miss the ability of having a choice of choosing them Thanks for reading
BBdoodle 483 Posted August 1, 2012 I am almost 4 months post op and went thru spells of crying too. They passed and I have not had one in a while. I do think it is a bit of depression... food was our friend ... its like a divorce. I think its all adjustment period. Some people take longer to adjust to the new you and life style than others. dstollery 290 Posted August 1, 2012 I had a little bout myself. Honestly I have been trying to help out with stuff by living. What I mean is I went out to Breakfast and had some fat free cottage cheese and a cup of Decaf tea. I made a sugar free cheesecake for some friends and while they had some cheesecake with cherrie topping I had some of the fake cheesecake that jenneliza posted. Just remember life goes on without the food. Just remember to have your old friends around if u want! U may not eat the cheesecake u make but u can enjoy the friends and the company. Also remember that your body is changing rapidly!!! You will be ok just try to relax and breath. 3 babygirl901, DLCoggin and Mrs.D reacted to this
Tracym1107 47 Posted August 1, 2012 I'm 3 weeks out and I have meltdowns often. My friends that have had the surgery tell me it is normal and will get better. Hang in there!
