Has anyone taken a stool softener after surgery? Would it be a bad idea?

Colase - works like a charm. Takes a day or two to kick in. It's over-the-counter so no Rx required. Recommended by my doctor and a real blessing when you need it. And yes, the Constipation will go away pretty quickly. Miserable but short lived!
