aleyampat 22 Posted July 26, 2012 Have an interview today. Put on my "interview outfit" and certainly 40 lbs down my slacks are gappy and too large. My shirt is also too big but is passable. So I think to myself I'll indulge and buy a new outfit. I go to Lane Bryant (where my current outfit is from) and try on one size smaller shirts and 2 size smaller pants. Shirts too tight (not really but its too tight for my liking) and can't even get the pants up. I think ok so I'm only down 1 size in pants and the same size still in shirts. I get the next size larger pants. Umm they're too tight too. I think wth? I get the same size pant that's currently in my closet and gappy. Umm they're too tight too!!! How the hell is it even possible that I lose 40 lbs and I can't even fit into the same size pants as the baggy ass crap in my closet? I could probably get 2 of my thighs in 1 leg of my scrub pants. My slack in my closet and my shorts are falling off and I don't need to unbutton them to pull them on and off and i probably need to wear a belt to keep them up. But new clothes in a store I've always shopped at I can't even fit into the size I wore before surgery? Ugh, I hate clothes!
jenneliza 257 Posted July 26, 2012 I hate clothing shopping for that reason! Don't be discouraged - you know that you are losing pounds and inches. Soon you will be able to walk into any store and buy what you need! Good luck on the interview!!
BBdoodle 483 Posted July 26, 2012 Don't let cloting size numbers upset you, it sounds like you are caught in between sizes. This is only the first step in "many" different sizes. Wear you loose clothing for a while and then don't buy too much because your size will be changing quicker than you know it. 1 babygirl901 reacted to this

Nothing major and ALL on clearance. Lol
