tamihill 24 Posted July 23, 2012 I see a lot of people say take gas-x to the hospital with you. My question is why? Don't they want you to get rid of the gas. And that's what the walking helps you do. Beside getting your cirrculation going. Any help would be appreciated.

And no , they don't have a medicine there to help relieve gas.
jenneliza 257 Posted July 23, 2012 Walking is always important. My doc doesn't give gas x to his patients in the hospital but best believe I took some as soon as I got home. My nurses were calling me a rock star bc I walked so much but it wasn't getting the gas out nearly as well as the gas x.

(this is the rule of most hospital). The medication was a pink liquid and comparable to smithocone liquid baby gas drops - which I used when I got home
