I didn't have to do that. The psych read all the questions to me and then I answered them. Good luck... Is that all you have to do?

When I went in for my Psych Eval, he asked me about my life and weight loss history. We talked for about an hour and then I had to take this 300 question test.

My questions were about 315. Yeah alot. And he even read every single one to me. It took about an hour and we talked for about an hour. Usually it's a 2 hour or so appt.

I'm curious. Did you have to pay anything up front to the Dr. office that didn't go toward your INS?

I have to pay $250 at my next apt.....that is their "program fee".

I had to pay $100. I paid my $20 co-pay and then there was a bogus $80 test processing fee.

My insurance covered the balance. He read the first 15 questions to me to make sure I understood the format and then sent me off to an unoccupied office. The test was just true/false questions. Some of the questions were pretty off the wall like "I feel like I'm demon possessed" or "I sometimes feel like cursing". I kinda feel like the test was a waste of time, but I did enjoy talking the the Dr. One thing I didn't like was that he mentioned a lot of his conversations that he had with other anonymous clients. I just didn't want to become part of his conversation with another WLS client. ;)

And as it turns out it didn't cost me anything because it took so long to get totthe ins company and hospital (2 months to get my report in)

Does that go toward your Ins or not? I'm just curious because I know Dr. Lord charges almost 800 in administrative fees. That is strictly out of pocket. That's a bit excessive..

No it doesn't go towards my insurance. ....its a one time fee that the Dr charges to process all your insurance stuff. I saw Dr. Friedman in may and only had to pay my copay......my next apt is in August and I will pay my copay and the $250 fee.

Wow, that's one of the biggest reasons I'm going to Mobile. They don't charge an administrative fee. I personally think that is so wrong in so many ways..I feel as if people are already paying so much.

It takes about an hour to get there. I also got approved today!!! I'm so excited!! I take my Begin class on Wed and will get a date the following week. August will be my month.. My Ins is awesome (Anthem BC/BS). The Dr. office called the Ins today and gave her approval over the phone. And she called me right away...I can't control my excitement. Not to mention my husband finished his Criminal Justice degree today!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
