Am I the only person that had surgery on July 11 that can't walk that much due to back pain (prob gas)? I've been walking inside of my house not much but a little. I sit with my back on heating pad and it eases it a little. I'm just afraid that I won't lose hardly any weight by my follow up on Aug 10. My scales shows about 9 pounds down since the surgery but I feel it should be more......anyone else feeling this way?

My surgery was on the 11th and I feel the same way as you I'm afraid of not losing enough for my follow up, but lets keep walking as much as we can.

Best of luck :)

I barely walked at all for 3 weeks. And I still don't exercise as much as I should be. I was 40lbs down at my 1st month check up last week. I don't have a gym membership yet and its been 100 degrees here. Walking at night is not safe in my neck of the woods. I'm joining a gym next week when I get paid

Hi. I'm new here. I had surgery on July 4th. I had gas pain so badly in my shoulders that I just started sleeping in my bed a few days ago. My first few days home I had to sleep in a lazy boy chair. My back hurts and I use a heating pad constantly.

I had the same pains too but it turned out i had a pouch of Fluid near my ribs that developed right after surgery. When in doubt, always ask for a catscan. I ended up with a chest tube and pneumonia for a month
