DaniG 54 Posted July 16, 2012 Please tell me eating gets easier and more enjoyable with time!! Today was my first day to eat soft foods. I thought I would want to eat but I didn't. I forced myself. I am scared to eat too much. I'm not sure when to stop. Didn't feel any fullness. Now about an Hour later it feels like food is in my throat. I am keeping it down but food has definitely lost its appeal.
TinyMamiOf3kids 1,280 Posted July 17, 2012 I'm 1 month 14 days post up. I hate food. I eat to survive but I'm not hungry. I cook because I have a family if I didn't I rather exercise & sleep all day.

lovelygirl01 61 Posted July 17, 2012 Yes it does get easier!!! I bought a 2oz measuring cup and just eat that much. Sometimes I can eyeball it, but depending on the consisteny i can eat a bit more and i have to stop myself...
nomorefat 74 Posted July 17, 2012 I am 6 weeks post op and feel very good about what I can eat and the process. I have gotten dehydrated and I have had food stuck in my throat. It's all a learning process. Nobody said this would be easy , I'd it was we wouldn't be here in the first place. Be patient , I will all come together 1 my3stars reacted to this
DaniG 54 Posted July 17, 2012 Thanks for the encouragement. I feel so lost!! I used to depend on food at times like this and now I can't.
nomorefat 74 Posted July 17, 2012 Your hormones are going to be released and it causes a roller coaster effect emotionally. We are often used to being down in ourselves. My confidence is building back up. I understand the "no where to run " feeling and always used food to cope. I try to stay busy. Best of luck ! 1 berniec reacted to this
