aleyampat 22 Posted July 15, 2012 Where is the pain located? And is it only in your back?
tobethin 3 Posted July 15, 2012 More like flank pain (L) side...maybe a little higher...and yes only in my back. Kidney function is well so I'm pretty sure it's not kidney related.
aleyampat 22 Posted July 15, 2012 Sounds like the same pain I had. It started about a week out. And unfortunately mine lasted until week 5. Hopefully yours doesn't. I was taking muscle relaxers and vicodin to make myself comfortable. I was never pain free unless I was literally laying flat in a recliner. My family doc and surgeon both said it was muscle pain. Mine was finally relieved by swimming in the pool. Keeping my fingers crossed that yours is not the same.
MommyHand 45 Posted July 15, 2012 I had back surgery almost 11 yrs ago at age 25. I started gaining the weight then and never stopped. Many up and downs along the way. I have major back pain now. So this concerns me to hear. Hoping its not the norm. I hope u get to feeling better soon. Back pain is no fun.
amanda11 50 Posted July 16, 2012 Yes my back pain started from the second out of surgery and still kind of does not as bad! Nothing helpped!! Not walking not even the pain meds sitting hurt only laying back helped! Dr said if it gets better good If not then let him know. He also said when they intibated me that they shove blankets under your upper back to help them tube ya. Maybe they did that to u too?. And that could be what's causing the pain bc u could've been on it for the duration of surgery which was 3 hrs for me.
jenneliza 257 Posted July 16, 2012 I have it but it's upper back. I thought it was because of sleeping in different positions with pillows and maybe not being supported. Feels like it needs cracked. I heard alot of the work is done in the left side...

emadden 2 Posted July 16, 2012 I had horrible gas pains in my upper back and the tops of my shoulders. Staying active and moving helped, but the constant pressure was still annoying. It will get better!
