aleyampat 22 Posted July 14, 2012 I felt that way and still do sometimes. I'm only 5 1/2 weeks out. I was ready for pureed and then regular foods. And sometimes I just need to bite into something I know I shouldn't. They say it gets better in time.
DaniG 54 Posted July 14, 2012 I'm sick of liquids too! Nothing tastes good. I am having a hard time drinking g2 Gatorade bc I'm sick of the taste. Makes me gag. I get to start soft Protein on Monday. So excited. I'm actually getting stomach growls. I am sick of my Protein Shake. It also makes me gag. I'm drinking the appletini crystal lite (sooo good) and diet sweet tea. DaniG 54 Posted July 14, 2012 Honestly I regretted it at first. I cried for the first few days. My fiance brought me back to reality. We will be able to eat just not as much! One day my fiance brought pizza home and it smelled so good. I freaking impulsively took a bite, chewed it and spit it out. I just miss the chewing!! 2 melville5 and nomorefat reacted to this
music1618 879 Posted July 15, 2012 I have had a rough time as well. I am throwing up about once a day. It is frustrating to watch people eat and all you think about is - if I eat that I will get so sick. The weight loss is nice, but I am ready to eat good again. Everyone says it will get better, and I really want to push the - easy button an be back to my new normal.
TinyMamiOf3kids 1,280 Posted July 15, 2012 I'm 1 1/2 months out. I wish I can stay on diet forever. I hate eating. Everything bothers me. So far I can handle mash potatoes meat loaf fish. Anything else I will vomit. I can drink Decaf cafe. So I don't crave or want fast food. Somedays I forget to eat or I don't find it important.
jenneliza 257 Posted July 15, 2012 Today was a hard day. Went to a party and there was BBQ, cake, wine and all kinds if good stuff. I'm still on Clear Liquids and got sick from a sugar free ice pop. Looking forward to purée and meat again!
nikkiba75 276 Posted July 15, 2012 Haven't had surgery yet, but I think its a matter of we want what we can't have. Hope you ladies find something that taste sooo good that it makes everything worth while Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk 1 2bhlthy reacted to this
lovelygirl01 61 Posted July 16, 2012 Hi Amanda! I had the same prob the 1st and 2nd wk out! I was going nuts! Watching tv mad eit worse (allthe food commercials), just think of this: you'll be able to eat them in the future, with cautious! It'll pass! I'm on my 4th wk, still on the blended/pureed diet and it's almost gone! I got through family bbqs, camping trip with the most delicious foods, people eating mcdonald's... And i just tell myself those foods are not worth it! They taste yummy For abt 10 mins. And thats it!!!
emadden 2 Posted July 16, 2012 I can promise you it gets better! Much, much better! I'm currently 17 months post-op. My first few weeks were a little rough, but for me the pre-op diet was pure torture. I cried and was a complete emotional wreck those whole 2 weeks. Directly after surgery that beef broth tasted like liquid gold. Mashed sweet potatoes with a but of butter and splenda became my best friend when I got to thicker solids. Keep your head up! Those few weeks of a limited diet will be behind you before you know it! You now have your entire new and exciting life ahead of you. 1 DLCoggin reacted to this
