I had a Tummy Tuck this past February. It was no cup of tea. For a month I pretty much had the movement of an 80 year old woman. However after 8 weeks I was perfect. I loved the results! I went down a few sizes in jeans and I'm not embarrassed about my stomach anymore! I'm looking into doing more cosmetic procedures soon.

If you don't mind me asking, was it just a tummy tuck or was it a lower body lift? And how much did it cost?

I'm pretty sure I'll want a lower body lift after : )

I went back to take a good look at your tummy. My tummy looks the same as yours except I have lots of stretch marks on my stomach.

I want it' date=' I'm just not sure when.[/quote']

I suggest waiting til after you have children cuz you are so young. Unless Dr says Ok and you want to pay twice. Good luck with whatever you decide. I'm def going to have one as soon as my Dr says it's ok. However, I've had my children, twins.

What????? How much do they usually cost? Wow. I've always wanted a boob job. When I take my bra off I get road rash. Maybe a doctor will want a charity case. Dr dre!!! Lol my goodness I should be on stage!

Some insurances will give you a lift due to rashes and neg impact on functioning or living, etc....... The same for arm, thigh lift and tummy....

I'm not worried about when I have kids. I go to the gym and I eat right, I just can't get rid of my stomach from my surgery. I'm 18, kids are no where in sight in my future. I'm tired of not being totally confident because of my stomach.

Sweetie I bet a mini tuck is all u may need.... Go and get a few consults and research drs And their offices on bbb as well as the with the American medical boards to verify their specialty is plastics, as some docs don't have it as a specialty. I had a Tummy Tuck after my nine year old was 4 and though I had a baby with my second hubby 3 years later my stomach went back flat because the muscle connections were done right.

It will work out but get that research on comparables and verify they have rights at a good hospital which lends to their standing....

Good luck and God bless!

I'm so looking forward to 2014 to get everything done. I got a letter that "wish not to say from who" My plans not go as plan for next year. Damn it!!! Getting a loan for $50,000 when I don't even have a job is not easy. I estimated this amount by the sections I wish to get done.

Carecredit is used by many plastic surgeons and dr offices. If u can get a line of credit to them u can pay on it as u would a car.... It may be easier. U may or may not end up needing a co-signer..... I see the signs whenever I go to a doc's office and when I was last in my plastic surgeons office....

Better than care credit is Chase Health Advantage they provide total cost financing plus fixed interest rate.

I just saw they did away with that program. They are no longer accepting any applications.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
